A strange world. A very human story.
Quar is a tabletop miniature wargame and a fictional world populated by Quar: long-snouted soldiers with lives, loyalties, and a remarkable amount of character. The early-20th-century aesthetic runs deep with muddy boots, rattling vehicles, trench lanterns flickering at dusk, and an array of uniforms from the utilitarian to the bizarre. Collect a force, bring your miniatures to life with paint, and lead them into battles across your tabletop. Or begin with the setting: explore the nations, factions, and stories of Alwyd at whatever pace suits you. The Long War has been going on for a very long time. There is always room for one more quar.

A little lore
Alwyd has been accumulating history for a long time. There are nations with complicated relationships, factions with contradictory principles, and vehicles with more personality than most of the quar who command them. You don't need to learn any of it before you start playing or painting but it's there when you want it. Pick a faction that catches your eye. Follow a detail that bothers you in an interesting way. Read the story that came with a model and see where it leads. The world rewards curiosity and doesn't punish ignorance. Start anywhere.
