1768 Liberation
The liberation of Easky in 1768, by the Crusade, gave the Crusaders foothold on the western continent. Easky’s industry was first propped up and rebuilt by the Crusade and then greatly expanded to feed the Crusader war effort in the west.
While the majority of Easky’s industry turned to mass producing Crusader gear and arms one of her oldest families, the Saefyr Clan, lead by Barbu Alo-Saefyr, one of the youngest clan patriarchs in Easky, turned their industry over almost entirely to R&D with Alykinder’s direct blessing.
Barbu as a youth was educated at the prestigious Achoni Technical University 7 and was obsessed with engine design. Barbu invested the last remaining fortunes of the clan into hiring many of his former professors and classmates to join this engine research program. It was a great gamble for all involved but has paid great dividends to the Saefyrs, Easky and the Crusade as a whole. Saefyr engines power the latest generation of Crusade (and civilian) airships out of Tok and their innovations in gearing and power ratios have led to the Ghrykyn line of tractors and a method of warfare unique to the Easkovites: Mechanized Warfare.
1777 The Campryg’s Plan
Prior to Loeck declaring himself Campryg he met with Provisional Governor Labyl in Easky. The two had not spent much time in each other’s company prior to the meeting but Loeck knew Labyl to be someone devoted the his home country of Easky and that he was equally loyal to the ideals of the Crusade. Easky would need to become the Crusade in the West’s industrial base. Easky’s long time enemy, Kryst, was deeply embroiled in a civil war as well as fending off Crusader Forces from both Lower Barro and northern Tok. That border from Easky’s perspective was easily defended with the units in place and Labyl had no desire to exhaust resources in the bloody sands of Kryst.
The two formulated a plan to utilize Easky’s factories to mass produce the Ghrykyn line of tractors and its variants and to reform and rebuild the Asis G’dogolwyr.
Crusader warfare for more than a decade had relied heavily on its Airmobile Marine Corps to swiftly take and hold objectives. With the Air Mobile’s recall to Tok in 1775 the western Crusaders had lost one of their game-changing advantages. Loeck envisioned forming a less specialized force that was still highly maneuverable and capable of concentrating combined arms firepower upon objectives.

1779 Loeck Withdraws From Creevin
In 1779, in the weeks preceding Loeck’s withdrawal of all Crusader forces in Creevin, Easky’s Lake Morandi naval assets pre-positioned themselves so that the day of Loeck’s announcement a full blockade of Creevin’s southern ports appeared out of the morning mists.
Creevish military ships were locked in port with Easky battleships and cruisers sitting over the horizon. This blockade effectively formed a safe shipping corridor for troops and material to freely move between Maer Braech and Easky with no need for the traditional overland route through Creevin.
1781 Crossing into Creevin
On the 1st of Dael Easky’s new mechanized divisions smashed into Creevin. The speed at which they gained ground and took their objectives had only been seen once before on Alwyd; in the early days of the Crusade with Tok’s elite airmobile units and their dashing tactics.
The new mechanized units attacked to the north to invest the large port of Hafjor and to cut the roads east from Invevenverta and through the south to take the Aeritini river delta. The speed at which they reached the river shocked the Creevish defenders and Alwyd is still reeling as news of the Easkovite successes reaches the far corners of the continent.
Now
Governor Labyl has answered a summons to Tok and the crumbling command structure of the Crusade. Easky’s move into Creevin shocked Crusader HQ. Easky’s combat power had been promised to Crusader GHQ for the fight in Kryst. Labyl stood on the general assembly floor and claimed that no Crusader forces had attacked Creevin, but rather, rogue forces from within Easky, adherents to the old ways had done so. Labyl vowed that he and Loeck would deal with this disloyalty swiftly.
While back in Creevin the Easky attack corridor to the north is preparing for its next push forward and the attack to the south to capture the all important Aeritini river delta has been stopped cold by the Fidwog FOD landing.
Campryq Loeck and Governor Labyl’s plan to control the western coast and its ports along Lake Morandi is in peril. The only way to salvage a plan, years in the making, may be all out war…
