Military Organization
The FOD, until recently, focused on clandestine warfare and insurrection against Fidwog’s enemies. In order to build on their successes the FOD was expanded to include a traditional military arm in order to project Fidwogger combat power beyond her borders. The excursion into Creevin is the first foray of the FOD as a purely military command.
The FOD met with costly success on the ground in Creevin, initially. The new Easkovite method’s of warfare caught the Fidwoggers unawares. The fierce fighting and difficult supply lines tracing back to Fidwog put the FOD’s first major military intervention in jeopardy.
The 1st Army, a mixed fighting force of ground and naval assets, landed with a total force strength of nearly 180,000 personnel in the first two major landings with another 60,000 at sea. The 1st Army is symbolically led by Prince-Syrnol Villym Fredderic with military command in the hands of Caenerol Rirch Shoro.
The 1st Army linked up early on with local Creevish partisan and Trench Watch units and while the Creevish were not excited to have yet another foreign army on their beloved soil the desperation of the conflict with the Easkovite forces quickly formed a bond between the Creevish and their new Fidwogger allies.
