The Anfyr is a heavy infantry support tractor intended primarily for long-range and indirect fire support. The Anfyr utilizes a 133mm smoothbore cannon and a crew of five: commander, driver, gear-operator, loader and gunner. The Anfyr’s top speed is fairly slow compared to most of the more modern tractors on Alwyd, especially the new Easky platforms, but the Anfyr is an incredibly stable firing platform. The Anfyr often takes those that have not faced an Anfyr by surprise with its accuracy over great distance.
The Anfyr’s high profile allows for long sight lines on Creevin’s southern prairies. This high profile also allows the Anfyr to be spotted easily. Many an Anfyr crew spend long hours painting their tractors and covering them in branches and mud and anything else that might break-up the Anfyr’s profile making it harder to spot.
Anfyr tractors are often paired with cavalry squads that act as forward observers and communicate back to the tractor with a series of flags. Some Anfyr’s are equipped with one of the few precious small radios in Creevin’s possession.
The Anfyr has a crew of 5: commander, driver, assistant driver, gunner, loader and assistant loader.
