The Wanamoch is built upon a modified Chyweethl chassis and its primary role is
rhyfler fire support. As warfare on Alwyd has increasingly relied on tractors for
strategic support of infantry advances, new platforms with increased crew spotting
ability and easier coordination with rhyflers on foot have become commonplace.
The Wanamoch employs a crew of three: a driver, commander/loader and gunner.
Although its open-topped design makes it more susceptible to artillery and rhyfler
assault it also greatly increases the crew’s ability to spot threats to itself or to friendly
infantry. As this coordination has become integral to Crymuster tactics, especially in the
fighting along the border with Toulmore, many Wanamoch units have added a fourth
quar to their crew. These new crew members follow their tractors on foot or ride on the
back deck and coordinate activities directly with rhyfler Caertens and Syrnols. During
combat operations the fourth crew member acts a runner between the tractor and the
foot troops they are directly supporting.
